Mega Frangrance Center was born from a conviction that fragrance is the most intimate of all art forms — invisible, yet unmistakable; personal, yet universally understood.
We are a New York-based house of independent perfumery, producing small-batch, artisanal compositions for those who wear their presence with intention.
Origin
Mega Frangrance Center began in a small studio in Brooklyn in 2019. Founders Margot Hensley and James Okafor — a perfumer and a visual artist respectively — had one shared obsession: the way scent makes people feel.
"We kept asking people: what does your favorite memory smell like? What does confidence smell like? What does arrival smell like?" recalls Margot. "The answers were always richer and more specific than we expected."
That question — what does a feeling smell like — became the foundation of every fragrance in the Mega Frangrance Center collection. It still is.
What We Stand For
We never use synthetic shortcuts where natural alternatives exist. Every formula is created from scratch by our in-house team — never licensed, never outsourced.
Our bottles are made from recycled glass. Our packaging is 100% recyclable. We offset all shipping emissions and source ingredients through fair-trade certified suppliers.
Fragrance has no gender. No age. No background. Every Mega Frangrance Center scent is created to belong to anyone who chooses it — period.
We believe the best things take time. Our development process averages 14 months per fragrance. No rushing. No compromising.
